A session, step by step

You do not need to know anything about psychology to experience Voice Dialogue. A session is a guided conversation — with a surprising twist: it is not always the same « you » who speaks.

How it unfolds

You arrive with a question, a tension, a decision to make — or simple curiosity. After a short exchange, the facilitator invites you to move to another chair, or another place in the room, and to let one of your inner voices express itself: the one that says yes, for example. Then, from another place, the one that says no. Each voice is welcomed with respect and curiosity: what does it want for you? What is it protecting? Since when has it been there? At the end, you return to the centre — and from there, you look at everything that has spoken. Something has changed: you have heard, from the inside, who was running the show.

What to expect — and what not to expect

No interpretation, no diagnosis, no advice. The facilitator does not tell you who you are and does not judge any of your voices — not even the ones you dislike. Nothing is forced: a voice that does not want to speak is respected. You remain aware and present throughout — this is not hypnosis. Many people are surprised at how natural it feels to « let a part speak »: we do it all day long without noticing.

Practical details

A session usually lasts between 60 and 90 minutes, face to face or online. Some people come for a single exploration, others make it a longer journey — at their own pace. Facilitators listed on this site work in many languages, all over Europe.

Voice Dialogue is a personal development approach. It does not replace medical or psychotherapeutic treatment when such treatment is needed.
